This Week's Volunteer: Dukhee “Betty” Lew

Dukhee “Betty” Lew is “everything a Lung Association volunteer should be,” according to those she works with in Tennessee. She believes that improving lung health depends on a wide variety of factors, including education, research, healthcare professionals and government agencies, and she applies this multi-pronged approach to her own volunteering. Dr. Lew not only gives freely of her own time and money, but encourages others to volunteer for the American Lung Association by convincing them that their own role is vital to the success of the organization and to improving lung heath. read more...
