In Kentucky's 2010 Legislative Session, the American Lung Association in Kentucky assisted in securing funding for Medicaid to cover smoking cessation drugs for its recipients.  Now the most vulnerable can have access to the tools they need to quit.

In 2011, the American Lung Association in Kentucky will advocate for a comprehensive, statewide smoke-free law to protect people from the needless exposure to secondhand smoke.  We support a law that covers all indoor workplaces and pubic places.  Kentucky now has almost 30 smoke-free communities. The American Lung Association in Kentucky continues to assist with local communities' efforts to go smoke-free.
